The primary goal of RuralTech,  is to empower unemployed adult learners in rural areas through the acquisition of digital skills, promoting inclusion, resilience in the face of digital transformation, and access to high-quality, flexible education. Beyond this overarching aim, several specific objectives have been set in line with the program’s priorities:

  • To create new dynamic educational materials that address digital transformation and assist the target audience in acquiring new skills that aid in job seeking. Priority: Addressing digital transformation by developing readiness, resilience, and digital capabilities.

  • To provide practical training in digital competencies to the target audience in a way that ensures real skill acquisition. Priority: Enhancing the availability of high-quality, flexible, and recognized education for adults.

  • To reach the maximum number of unemployed adult learners from rural areas, ensuring they take ownership of the outcomes produced. Priority: Inclusion and diversity in all areas of education and training.

  • To improve the employability of participants.

  • To enhance the skills of trainers working with these adults, as well as to increase the educational tools available to them.

In an increasingly connected and digitalized world, access to technological skills has become a crucial factor for both employment success and social inclusion. However, for many unemployed adults in rural areas, the path to acquiring these competencies can seem inaccessible or overwhelming.

It is within this context that the RuralTech project emerges, an initiative dedicated to empowering adult learners in rural communities through the development of digital skills. Aiming to promote inclusion, resilience in the face of digital transformation, and access to high-quality, flexible education, the RuralTech Guide stands as a fundamental tool in this process of training and empowerment.

This course addresses various key aspects of digital literacy in a structured and accessible manner, from internet navigation to digital content creation and online entrepreneurship. The project not only seeks to provide practical knowledge but also to foster confidence and autonomy among participants in the digital world. By focusing on the specific needs of unemployed adults in rural areas, the RuralTech project aims to bridge the digital divide and create tangible opportunities for personal and professional growth for its participants. Ultimately, this project not only transforms individual lives but also contributes to sustainable development and equity in rural communities.
